Work Completed Last Week

Night crews finished installing the 12-inch sewer main on F Street from Kern Street to Tulare Street and advanced the Tulare Street water main north of Fulton. Day crews progressed the Calaveras Street final segment and the Fulton Street water main from Calaveras toward Stanislaus.

NO WORK MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7 (Labor Day). NIGHT WORK (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM): • F Street — backfilling the new sewer main from Kern to Tulare, Tuesday and Wednesday nights (Sep 8–9). • Mono Street & F Street intersection — 16-inch water main installation, Thursday night (Sep 10). DAY WORK (Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM): • H Street — 24-inch water main from Mariposa Street to Merced Street. • Calaveras Street — final water main segment, Congo Alley to Fulton Street. • Fulton Street — 16-inch water main from Calaveras Street to Stanislaus Street.

Important Notices

NO WORK on Labor Day, Monday, September 7. Night work runs Tuesday–Thursday nights this week on F Street (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM). Metered parking on Fulton Street will be bagged (no parking) September 10–25 within the work area. All traffic control permits and public notifications are current.

Schedule Changes

Two scopes of work have been pushed back to a later date: the Tulare Street water main north of Fulton (Fulton to Van Ness) and the Fulton Street sewer work between Merced and Tuolumne, including the Fulton & Tuolumne intersection. New dates will be posted once confirmed. The F Street 16-inch water main is back on the schedule — the Mono & F intersection Thursday night, then Mono to Inyo starting September 14.

Work Completed Last Week

Night crews completed the 18-inch storm drain and 48-inch manhole at F Street & Kern Street, advanced the Tulare Street water main from Federal Alley toward Van Ness Avenue, and progressed the new 48-inch manhole and 10-inch sewer main on Fulton Street at Merced.

NIGHT WORK (Sunday–Thursday nights, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM): • F Street — 12-inch sewer main from Kern Street to Tulare Street. • Tulare Street — 16-inch water main from Fulton Street to Van Ness Avenue (the final Tulare segment). Schedule Changes

The Fulton Street water main (Calaveras to Stanislaus) is back on the schedule starting Monday, August 31. Calaveras Street returns for its final segment (Congo Alley to Fulton). Fulton Street sewer work pauses this week and resumes Sunday night, September 6 at the Fulton & Tuolumne intersection. Crews move to H Street (24-inch main, Mariposa to Merced) on Tuesday, September 8.

Week of Aug 24 – Aug 30, 2026

Work Completed Last Week

Day crews wrapped up two major segments: the Tulare Street 16-inch water main is complete from H Street to Fulton Street, and the Calaveras Street 16-inch main is complete from H Street to Fulton Street. Initial installation of the F Street water main (Ventura to Mono) was completed Thursday and Friday, and night crews continued the storm drain and 48-inch manhole at F Street & Kern Street.

ALL CREWS ARE WORKING NIGHTS THIS WEEK, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (no Friday or Saturday night work): • F Street & Kern Street — 18-inch storm drain and completion of the 48-inch manhole, Sunday–Thursday nights (Aug 23–27). • Fulton Street at Merced — new 48-inch manhole and 10-inch sewer main toward Tuolumne Street, Sunday–Thursday nights (Aug 23–27). • Tulare Street — 16-inch water main from Federal Alley to Van Ness Avenue, Monday–Thursday nights (Aug 24–27).

Important Notices

All crews are on night shift, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday/Monday through Thursday nights — there is no Friday or Saturday night work. Expect nighttime lane closures, work lighting, and construction noise on F Street at Kern, on Fulton Street between Merced and Tuolumne, and on Tulare Street north of Fulton. Parking meter bags are in place on Fulton, Tuolumne, and Tulare within the work areas. All traffic control permits and public notifications are current.

Schedule Changes

All crews shifted from day work to night work. The Tulare Street night segments were resequenced: Federal Alley to Van Ness first (this week), then the Fulton intersection to Federal Alley (next week). The F Street water main (Ventura to Mono) is on hold after initial installation — remaining dates will be posted once confirmed. Additional sewer potholing between Broadway and Tuolumne is on standby pending traffic-control approval.

Work Completed Last Week

The Tulare Street 16-inch water main was completed from Broadway Street to Homerun Alley, the Calaveras Street main advanced from Broadway toward Fulton, night construction of the 48-inch manhole at F Street & Kern Street progressed, and night potholing at the Tuolumne & Merced and Fulton & Tuolumne intersections was completed.

Day crews (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM): • Tulare Street — 16-inch water main from Congo Alley to Fulton Street (Monday–Wednesday). • Calaveras Street — finishing the 16-inch main from Broadway to Fulton Street (Mon–Thu). • F Street — the 16-inch water main from Ventura Street (Cesar Chavez Blvd) to Mono Street BEGINS THURSDAY, August 20, as crews move over from Tulare Street. Schedule Changes

Crews move from Tulare Street to F Street on Thursday, August 20 — the previously postponed F Street water main (Ventura to Mono) begins Thursday. All crews shift to night work the week of August 24. The G & Kern and Tuolumne & Van Ness potholing operations and the Fulton Street (Calaveras to Stanislaus) and G & Inyo listings have been removed from the schedule. A revised schedule for all crews will be posted Friday.

Work Completed Last Week

The Tulare Street 16-inch water main advanced from Broadway Street toward Homerun Alley, the Calaveras Street 16-inch main was completed from H Street to Broadway, and night construction of the new 48-inch sewer manhole at F Street & Kern Street made good progress.

Schedule Changes

The F Street 16-inch water main (Ventura to Mono) moved one week — now August 17–21. The next F Street sewer phase (12-inch main, Kern to Tulare) starts August 17. New night potholing announced at G & Kern and Tuolumne & Van Ness for the week of August 16.

Work Completed Last Week

The F Street sewer crew finished installing the 12-inch sewer main from Mono Street to Inyo Street with the new manhole at F & Inyo. The Calaveras Street 16-inch water main advanced from H Street toward Broadway, and the Tulare Street water main progressed toward Homerun Alley.

Day crews (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM): • Tulare Street — 16-inch water main from Broadway Street to Homerun Alley. • Calaveras Street — 16-inch water main continues from H Street to Broadway. Work Completed Last Week

Night crews completed the new 12-inch water main on G Street between Inyo and Kern — night work in that block is finished. The F Street sewer crew advanced the 12-inch main from Mono Street, Tulare Street's 24-inch water main progressed from H Street, and utility locating on Calaveras Street wrapped up.

Day crews this week (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM): • F Street (sewer) — 12-inch sewer main from Mono Street to Inyo Street, with a new manhole at F & Inyo. • Calaveras Street — 24-inch tie-in at the H & Calaveras intersection (Mon–Tue), then 16-inch water main from H Street toward Broadway. • Tulare Street — 24-inch water main resumes Wednesday, H Street to Homerun Alley.

Fulton Street water main (Calaveras to Stanislaus) starts August 3.

Work Completed Last Week

F Street water main: completed the 16-inch main from Inyo Street to Kern Street and advanced the Kern-to-Tulare segment. F Street sewer: finished the new manhole at Mariposa & F and began CTV camera testing of the new sewer main.

Work Happening This Week

Four crews are working downtown this week: • F Street (sewer) — 12-inch sewer main from Mono Street toward Kern Street, with a new manhole at F & Inyo. • G Street — 12-inch water main between Inyo and Kern. NIGHT WORK, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM. • Tulare Street — 24-inch water main from H Street toward Federal Alley. • Calaveras Street — crews locating existing utilities ahead of new water main installation.

Schedule Changes

Asphalt restoration on F Street (Ventura Street to Kern Street) is planned to begin in late July following sewer camera testing. Dates will be posted here once confirmed.
